‘Taste of Summer’ is a quilt Nana dedicated her entire summer to making, using warm tones of brown and gold. From Nana’s perspective, this quilt is not just a piece of craftsmanship but also a vibrant diary of memories and emotions of summer.
The quilt features deep brown and bright golden fabric patches, symbolizing the earth and the sunlight—two essential elements of summer. The brown patches resemble winding paths through ripe fields, lush gardens, and leisurely afternoon strolls under the trees. The golden patches, on the other hand, evoke images of blooming sunflowers, ripe fruits, and the warm rays of the summer sun.
